A Poolside Retreat vs. An Ocean Swim

Which do you prefer when it comes to swimming?

What is your choice for swimming in the Spring in Florida? Do you prefer to swim in a clear blue pool or going to the beach and swimming in the ocean? There are positives and negatives with either choice.

Poolside Positives – A backyard pool or a community pool, both are refreshing and nearby. Stepping out to your own backyard… no driving needed. Subdivision community pools and complex pools are typically nearby, plus you can meet your community neighbors.

Poolside Negatives – Not everyone wants to maintain a backyard pool. There are maintenance costs and maintaining issues. Community pools have association fees so it’s something to consider when buying.

Beachside Positives – Nothing like the sound of the ocean waves from the moment you step out on the beach. The sand in your feet and our current is a perfect time for the beach at this time of year. You can swim, bodyboard, or surf… so many options.

Beachside Negatives – If it’s a windy day, we all know what can happen… sandblasted! There are chairs and towels and beach toys to lug back and forth. When you are leaving, you find sand is everywhere.
